Dr. Lees graduated from Lehigh University with a degree in Bioengineering and obtained her Master's degree from New York University's College of Dentistry in Biomaterials Science.  She then worked as a product development engineer for a dental implant company in Birmingham, AL. She designed dental implant parts, surgical kits and more for their existing product line and her love for dentistry grew. 

When she could no longer avoid the fact that she wanted to use the products instead of design them, she took a leap of faith and switched careers. She is thrilled with her decision to move to dentistry and loves being able to make people smile every day.

Dr. Lees is very involved in dentistry, and balances her time working in private practice while also teaching as an adjunct faculty member at the UNC Adams School of Dentistry.  She has volunteered her time serving on the boards of Raleigh-Wake County's Dental Society, the North Carolina Dental Society (District 4)., and at Wake Smiles, a dental clinic in Raleigh that provides free dental care to those in need.  She is involved with a local study Spear study club and is a sustaining member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Dental Association.

In her free time, she finds herself spending time outdoors with her husband and children. They love going on adventures and enjoy exploring everything North Carolina has to offer.
